“While I was thinking that Purrely is a monster that came to life to be loved (not withstanding that every monster is created because they are indispensible…), I designed it after a doodle I made in elementary school in my notebook that I tried replicating. I kept updating the design while taking in observations from all directions, like ‘there’s no way you can make it look like that’, or ‘how are you going to make it look when it needs to appear three-dimensional?’, etc.”
