Strategic Summary:

Welcome back to a profile on a theme that has been a long time coming to the physical card game. The Kuriboh theme has been supported over the years with a smattering of one-off support cards, all building off of the OG Kuriboh himself, Kuriboh! This hand trap can be discarded to prevent battle damage, thus many Kuriboh support cards over the years have built off of this mechanic. Rainbow Kuriboh equips from the hand to negate an attack, Sphere Kuriboh can be discarded to change the battle position of an attacking monster, etc. But the new support from AC21 turns back to its roots, focusing on spamming the field with 300/200 monsters. It all begins with Five Star Twilight (YGOrg Translation), which tributes a Level 5 monster to summon 5 Kuriboh ‘bros’ from your deck: Kuribah, Kuribee, Kuriboo, Kuribeh (All YGOrg Translation), and Kuriboh. You can then use Kuribah to tribute all of them to summon Kuribabylon (YGOrg Translation), the pseudo-boss for the theme, or Kuribeh to tribute them to search and summon Kuribandit. Or another option is to just use them as link material… OR, if you’re feeling super spicy, tribute them away to Special Summon Dystopia the Despondent. However you slice it, your odds of winning Multiply whenever you pull of your Twilight play, but you have plenty of other ways to Denonate your opponent and win the duel. Such as Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon, which I feel no shame for including here since this is a DM-era theme after all. So throw your fluffballs at the opponent and invoke those combos with the Kuriboh Brothers!
