Strategic Summary:

Today’s CDP takes the lore deck characterization much too far as we’re utilizing the new True Draco cards in tandem with the Dracoslayer archetype to allow for the summoning of all the variations of Master Peace! First up, the Dracoslayer theme is best known for its Level 4 Pendulum Monsters – Majesty Pegasus, the Dracoslayer, Dinomight Powerload, the Dracoslayer, and Ignis Phoenix, the Dracoslayer – each of which contributes to Synchro, Xyz, and Fusion summons while showcasing the sheer power of the Pendulum mechanic. While many Dracoslayer builds aim to loop Ignister Prominence, the Blasting Dracoslayer as much as possible to generate advantage, I’ve chosen to also incorporate a True King/True Draco element instead, taking full advantage of Majesty Pegasus’ effect to tutor Dragonic Diagram from the deck! Now that Diagram is back at 3 copies, this deck loves the search power it provides, while also triggering the effects of the Level 9 True King that activate when destroyed.

Since this is DOOD week after all, I would be remiss not to address the new support that covers both of these themes – Draco Awakening. On activation, this Continuous Spell tutors virtually any monster in any of the archetypes I’ve mentioned so far. This ensures so much consistency, because it lets you finish your Pendulum Combos, set up the right monster to destroy with Diagram, or even tutor a copy of Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King if you’re ready to tribute summon him. Speaking of the Tribute Master Peace, he has been joined by a new DARK version in Master Peace, the True Dracoverlord from the DOOD set as well. While the Dracoverlord also wants to be Tribute Summoned, you’ll most typically bring him out from the deck with the effect of True King Bahrastos, the Fathomer, so that you can tribute him and any Dracoslayer to Special Summon Master Peace, the True Dracoslayer!

The last archetype in play that helps with the consistency angle is the Majespecters. This has quickly grown to be one of my favorite Pendulum engines, since it can easily tutor the two Pendulums you need to Link Summon Beyond the Pendulum to ensure access to Dracoslayer combos. How? Well Majespecter Crow – Yata gets you Majespecter Wind or Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku gets you Majespecter Procupine – Yamarashi. Then, with all the Tributing you already have going on in the rest of the deck, Majespecter Draco – Ryu gives you even more access to other Majespecters from your deck, such as Majespecter Unicorn – Kirin! Wyrms, Dragons, and Spellcasters come together in this homage to the True Dracoslayer – Master Peace!
