Today’s profile features the Traptrix archetype, which consists of Insects and Plants, an it is designed to lure your opponent straight into an endless minefield of Trap Holes. This has always been the case for the archetype, but the new support from Lightning Overdrive just pushes that strategy up to 11. Traptrix Sera remains the theme’s headlining Link 1 monster, which can Set a ‘Trap Hole’ card each time you use another Traptrix effect, or she Summons a Traptrix each time a Normal Trap card is activated. This leads to a vicious cycle of disrupting the opponent while gaining even more advantage for yourself. The new Traptrix Link 2, Traptrix Utricularia (YGOrg Translation), summons back a fallen Traptrix during your EP in addition to setting Trap Holes you activate instead of sending them to the GY! Between these two advantage-heavy link monsters and a wide array of trap holes, your opponent’s will have be exceptionally wary of your backrow… OR ELSE! Allow yourself to be allured into a trap by the Traptrix!
