The newest Tryout Duel event, Time Travel 2004, will run until March 4th (time zones applying). By winning 3 Duels, you can obtain 1 pack of the most recent reprint pack, The Forbidden Liberated.

The special rules for this event limit the card pool to November 25th, 2004, which is the release date for the OCG version of Flaming Eternity. This is chronologically slightly earlier than the popular “Goat Format” (April 2005). The player going first will also draw a card. The Extra Deck is still limited to 15 cards, and the Main Deck is limited to a maximum of 60 cards.

should be legal to play, but these cards are not obtainable in Master Duel at the moment. Also, the powerful cards that have received erratum over the years obviously play with their most updated text.

The following loaners will be available for the event:

☆1 Onslaught of the Gears

“Difficulty level ☆1
A Machine Deck that utilizes “Gadget” monsters. Since cards in your hand don’t get depleted easily, it’s easier to activate cards like “Raigeki Break.” Use cards such as Traps Cards to deal with powerful monsters.”

☆1 Different Dimension Swordplay

“Difficulty Level ☆1
This Deck relies on Warrior monsters that specialize in banishing. Central to its strategy is “D.D. Warrior”. If it battles a monster, both are banished after damage calculation, so keeping it Set gives you an effective way of getting rid of threats.”

☆2 Power of Fusion

“Difficulty level ☆2
A Deck based around powerful Fusion Monsters. “King of the Swamp” can serve as a substitute for 1 Fusion Material Monster and also has an effect to add “Polymerization” to your hand. Determine the best use for each card and control the battlefield!”

☆2 Gravekeeper’s Lineage

“Difficulty level ☆2
This “Gravekeeper’s” Deck draws strength from the unity of their clan. They gain an ATK boost from the Deck’s central card, “Necrovalley”, a Field Spell Card which also thwarts a variety of Graveyard-based effects. As a result, your opponent may struggle to build up their field. Take advantage and strike relentlessly.”

☆3 Black Flame Dragon

“Difficulty level ☆3
A Deck that uses “Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8” as its ace card. “Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8” has an effect to negate the activation of a Spell Card, and destroy it. Combine it with “Royal Decree” which negates the effect of a Trap Card to create a powerful lineup. Hinder your opponent’s moves and secure a steady victory!”

☆3 Transcendent Spirits

“Difficulty level ☆3
This Deck utilizes Spirit monsters, such as the powerful “Tsukuyomi”. These cards have a big downside in that they return to the hand in the End Phase after being Normal Summoned or flipped face-up, but this can be offset by cleverly combining them with cards like “Creature Swap”.”
