Konami Cross Media NY have announced five new licensing agreements for the brand, with Kawada Co., HYP Hats, First Kid General Trading, Monogram International and FuRyu Corporation.
First, with Kawada Co, the previously announced Nanoblocks sets will be coming to Western markets. No further details – including whether the sets will be divided, their prices, or their release dates – have been announced.
Next, with HYP Hats (Hypnotic Hats), a line of socks and sock-based gift sets for all ages will be available at retail in time for the holidays.
Focusing on the Middle Eastern and North African markets, First Kid General Trading will introduce a line of Yu-Gi-Oh! back-to-school products, including school bags, school accessories, stationery, arts and crafts and electronics.
An agreement with Monogram International was also confirmed – at SDCC 2024 this year, they had some collectable foam bag clips based on the Egyptian Gods (pictured below). According to Monogram’s vice president, Michael Normann, Yu-Gi-Oh! was one of the highlights of their SDCC products, and they are pleased to be working with KCM NY, looking forward to “a long and prosperous relationship”.
Finally, they announced their agreement with the FuRyu Corporation, developing collectible statues based on Yu-Gi-Oh! and Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL. According to License Global, these are available for pre-order, but they didn’t go into further details.
